Wedding Photo Sharing Apps: the 2026 Comparison
October 18, 2026 · 8 min read
What we compare, and how
There is no shortage of ways to collect your guests' photos and videos: apps to install, albums that open in the browser from a QR code, or a simple shared Google Photos album. They differ on four points that matter on the day: does the guest have to install an app or create an account, are videos accepted, how long does the album stay accessible, and how much does it cost.
Everything below was checked on 18/10/2026 on each service's public pages. When a piece of information isn't there, we say "not stated" rather than guess. One useful detail: this blog belongs to Huskox, one of the services compared. We put it through the same criteria as the others, based on our own terms, and we also point out where others do better.
The comparison table
| Service | App for guests | Guest account | Videos | Album access | Public price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| WedShoots (Mariages.net) | Yes, app to download | Yes, downloading counts as registering | Yes, limits not stated | Not stated | Free |
| Kululu | No, browser | No | Yes | 7 days (free), 3 months (Plus), 1 year (Pro) | $0, $39 or $99 excluding taxes |
| Guestpix | No, browser | No | Paid plans only | 12 months after the event (24 months with Signature Pack) | Free up to 50 photos, then 39 €, 79 € or 99 € |
| Wedibox | No, browser | No | Yes, up to 3 GB per file | 1 year after the event (2 years with All-In-One) | Free up to 50 uploads, then 27 €, 45 € or 73 € |
| POV | App Clip on iPhone (no full install), browser on Android; the organizer installs the app | Not stated | Not stated | Not stated | Free up to 10 guests, then $4.99 to $89.99 depending on guest count |
| Sépia | No, browser | No | Optional (+15 €), 30-second clips | Uploads for 30 days, viewing for 12 months (extendable, 10 € per year) | 29 € |
| Google Photos (shared album) | Not required, the album opens from a link | Not stated | Yes, up to 10 GB per video | No fixed duration | Free within 15 GB per Google account |
| Huskox | No, browser | No | Yes with the Photo + Video plan, up to 2 GB per file | 30 days after collection ends, extendable by one year (39 €) | Free up to 4 guests, then based on guest count (59,99 € for 100 guests with Photo + Video) |
Checked on 18/10/2026 on each service's public pages: official website, terms of use, help pages, App Store and Google Play listings. Offers change: check the service's website before choosing. "Not stated" means the information does not appear on the pages consulted. Dollar prices are those displayed by the service. Kululu, Guestpix, Wedibox, Sépia and Huskox are paid once per event, with no subscription.
App to install or web page: the real dividing line
This is the difference that weighs most on participation. WedShoots, the Mariages.net app, asks every guest to download the app and then enter the album code: its terms of use say so explicitly. POV uses an App Clip on iPhone, a mini Apple app that opens without a full install, and the browser on Android.
Kululu, Guestpix, Wedibox, Sépia and Huskox open in the phone's browser after scanning a QR code: no App Store, no account. Google Photos also works from a link, but Google's help pages don't clearly say whether a guest without a Google account can add photos.
Why it matters: every extra step loses some guests, and rarely the youngest. An app to install suits a tech-savvy crowd; a web page suits everyone, grandparents included.
Videos: included, optional or paid plans only
Guests' videos are often the liveliest memories of a wedding: the speeches, the couple's entrance, the dance floor. Not every solution treats them the same way. At Guestpix, they are reserved for paid plans. At Sépia, they are optional, as 30-second clips. Wedibox accepts them up to 3 GB per file, Google Photos up to 10 GB.
At Huskox, videos are included in the Photo + Video plan, up to 2 GB per file and in original quality. WedShoots accepts videos according to its Google Play listing, without stating a limit. At Kululu, videos count toward each plan's upload allowance. POV says nothing on the subject on the pages consulted.
Album access: read the fine print before paying
The gaps are significant. Wedibox keeps the gallery for a year after the event, Guestpix for twelve months, Sépia until the first wedding anniversary. At Kululu, it depends on the plan: seven days on the free plan, one year on Pro.
At Huskox, the gallery stays online for 30 days after collection ends, with reminders before it closes, and can be extended by a year with a one-time payment. That's shorter than Guestpix or Wedibox, and we'd rather say so: if you want to browse the album online for a year without doing anything, those services will suit you better. Either way, the right reflex is the same: download the full album in the days after the wedding, and keep your files at home.
Price: free, flat fee or based on guest count
WedShoots is free for the couple. So is Google Photos, within your account's storage. The others work as a one-time payment per event, with no subscription: a flat fee at Sépia (29 €), Wedibox (27 to 73 €), Guestpix (39 to 99 €) or Kululu ($39 or $99 excluding taxes), and a price based on guest count at POV and Huskox.
At Huskox, the album is free for up to 4 guests to try it out, then for example 39,99 € for Photo or 59,99 € for Photo + Video for 100 guests, and 129,99 € for unlimited guests with videos. Guests never pay anything.
Which one should you choose for your wedding?
If budget comes first and your guests are comfortable with apps, WedShoots does the job for free. If you want to browse the album online for a long time, look at Wedibox or Guestpix. If you're after the lowest price for a photo gallery without an app, Sépia is a serious option.
If you want all your guests to take part without installing anything, videos included, and to pay according to the size of your wedding, that's what Huskox is built for. The easiest way is to try it: the Huskox album is free for up to 4 guests, enough to test it before the big day.
