Cookies and Local Storage

Last updated: September 6, 2026

This document is provided in English for informational purposes only. Only the French version is legally binding, and it is governed by French law.

Article 1: Purpose of This Page

This page transparently describes what the Huskox site, accessible at huskox.com (and its temporary technical address huskox.vercel.app), stores or reads in your browser: cookies and local storage data (localStorage). It explains what these elements are used for, why most of them do not require your consent, and how to delete them.

The site's publisher is John Houzi, sole proprietor; his full contact details appear in the site's legal notice.

Article 2: What Is Never Set Without Your Agreement

No audience measurement or advertising cookie is set until you have responded to the banner shown on your first visit. The scripts in question are not even inserted into the page before you respond: if you decline, or as long as you have not responded, nothing is loaded and nothing is transmitted.

The site carries out no profiling of its visitors and sells no data.

Article 2a: Audience Measurement, Subject to Your Agreement

If you accept this category, an audience measurement tool shows us how pages are actually used, so we can improve them. It sets cookies. Accepting this category does not activate advertising, which is the subject of a separate question.

Article 2b: Advertising, Subject to Your Agreement

When we promote Huskox through an advertisement, the Meta pixel (Facebook, Instagram) and Google Ads let us know which ads actually drive visits, and let us avoid showing our ads to someone who has already created their album. These tools set cookies and share visit data with these ad networks. They form a separate category in the banner: accepting audience measurement does not activate them.

Meta and Google are based in the United States: the transfer relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Article 2c: Changing Your Choice

Your response is stored in your browser, along with its date. The "Manage Cookies" link at the bottom of every page erases this choice and asks the question again: withdrawing agreement must take no more effort than giving it. Both boxes are unchecked at the outset, and declining takes a single click, exactly like accepting.

Article 3: Browser Local Storage (localStorage)

Certain pages on the site use your browser's local storage (localStorage), a memory area managed by your browser that stays on your device.

These are the following pages:

This data is saved under names beginning with "huskox-" (for example huskox-checklist-mariage).

Key points:

This storage, being strictly necessary for the service requested by the user, does not require prior consent.

By contrast, the boxes you check on your client area's timeline (once signed in) are not local storage: they are saved on our servers, linked to your event, so that you can find your progress again from one device to another. This processing is described in the Privacy Policy.

Article 4: Display Currency Cookie

Prices can be shown in euros, shekels, or dollars. To suggest the most likely currency right away, the site infers a currency from the country your connection appears to come from, based on information our host, Vercel, provides from your IP address.

Key points:

This preference cookie, strictly necessary to display the service as you request it and with no advertising or statistical purpose, does not require prior consent.

Article 4: Technical Authentication Cookies (Client Area and Administration)

The parts of the site accessible after signing in, namely the client area (/espace-client) and the administration interface (/admin), use technical authentication cookies. These cookies are set by the site on its own domain (so-called "first-party" cookies) as part of our authentication solution, provided by Supabase. No third-party cookie is set on this occasion.

These cookies are used solely to:

They are set only if you sign in to one of these areas: a visitor who only browses the public site receives none of these cookies.

These cookies are strictly necessary to provide the connected-area service you request. As such, they are exempt from consent under article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and CNIL guidelines. If you block or delete them, signing in to the client area and administration will not work.

[à compléter : exact names and lifespans of the Supabase authentication cookies (sb- prefix), to be recorded once the client area is deployed]

Article 5: Online Payment (Coming Soon)

Online payment is not yet active on the site. Once it is, it will be operated by our provider Stripe.

Stripe will then set, on payment pages only, cookies strictly necessary for completing the transaction and preventing fraud. These cookies, essential to the payment service expressly requested by the user, fall within the category of cookies exempt from consent.

This page will be updated once online payment is activated, with details of the cookies concerned.

Article 6: How to Clear Local Storage and Cookies

You may delete, at any time, the data the site has saved in your browser. Note: doing so will erase your progress on the checklist and timelines, and will sign you out of the client area, where applicable.

Steps to follow depending on your browser:

You may also configure your browser to refuse all local storage or all cookies; in that case, saving your progress and signing in to secure areas will no longer work, but browsing the public site will remain possible.

Article 7: Commitment in the Event of Changes

If we ever decide to add an audience measurement tool or any other tracker that is not strictly necessary, we commit to:

No tracker subject to consent will be activated without your being informed and, where required, without your prior agreement.

Article 8: Contact

For any question relating to this page or to your data, you may write to us at hello@huskox.com. To learn more about the processing of your personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
